SEW SOME LOVE

Start of our bid to make the world’s largest recycled Rainbow flag - a community sewing challenge for all ages and abilities in honour of local activist Mark Ashton. Together we’ll cut, dye and sew to make a giant community tapestry celebrating the legacy and tradition of the skills and the mills of our shared history. Bring the whole family along and help us create a beautiful tribute of art and activism.

We will run this project on an ongoing basis with exciting plans in place for 2023

We encourage you to come and hang with the gays, in a safe and judgement free space, learn some new skills or share your own.

Whatever community you’re a member of, you can sew some love and Pride as we work together to start the first section of a traveling piece of art and activism, connecting fabric, and people to celebrate our workers and our LGBTQ+ history with Pride.
